Temperature rises in Vegas with 98 Degree star

No one ever needs an excuse to jet-set to Las Vegas. It’s common for Coloradans to jump on a plane from DIA Friday at 4 p.m., spend the next 48 hours replicating The Hang Over and be at the office Monday by 9 a.m. But just in case you’re on the fence about your next trip to Sin City here’s one: Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees — “The Hardest Thing,” “I Do (Cherish You)” — will be the featured musical guest and emcee for the internationally renowned Chippendales. Timmons recently spoke with Diversity Now radio host and Out Front Colorado contributing writer Eugene Ebner.

Livin la vida leather: Brent Heinze, Mr. Leather Colorado

If anyone would have told Brent Heinze – 18 years ago – that he would be half-naked, suited up with a harness, tight leather pants, whips, chains and bulging muscles, posing for a photo shoot, not even he would have believed it. After shedding nearly 100 pounds and molding himself into the hunky spectacle that represents the leather community of Colorado, Heinze is the epitome of empowerment and true leather style.

Raja takes Drag Race, leads the tour to Denver

She dazzled us with her fashion. She wowed us with her smile. She made us gasp with her no-holds-bar approach to drag. And now she’s America’s next drag super star. And she’s making her debut at the EXDO Event Center May 14. She is Raja. And we will watch her roar on the stage with RuPaul’s Drag Race runners-up Manila Luzon and Alexis Mateo when Logo’s Drag Race Tour kicks off in Denver, thanks to one of our own, Ginger Sexton, who won the Ultimate Queen Contest locking in the tour for a second year in a row. But before the fashionista takes the main stage, she spoke with Out Front Colorado about the show, her life afterward and what’s next.

Andrea Gibson: performance poetry inspiring change and hope

The words comprising Andrea Gibson’s poems are only a component of what you get when you experience her performance. There is power in her voice, a vehement enunciation of language that transforms into a rhythmic dance. Her body language engages the audience, as she becomes the poem; her vocal echoes scratching at the human core. Yet she is able to remain quite humble. “I only hope that my poems are heard … hoping they might change some things for the [greater] good.”
