Troye Sivan hits Denver on Feb 16

Troye Sivan, the South African-born Australian actor, singer, songwriter, and YouTuber, is coming to Denver February 16.

Sivan has the youthful talents of the music world captivated, winning over powerhouse Adele, pop icon Taylor Swift, and fellow gay artist Sam Smith, who said Sivan “does things to my body.” He has also scored the attention of teenage boys and girls everywhere, with his soulful lyrics and mellow, layered electropop with constant tinges of EDM. His YouTube channel is less than 200,000 from reaching four million subscribers. So yeah, Troye Sivan has quite the following.

The 20-year-old musician released his first full length album, “Blue Neighborhood,” last year, and has provided this writer a lot of emotions. Each three minute song strikes a different chord, making it an easily looped album.

Oh yeah, Sivan also isn’t afraid to give us straight up queer music videos. He even released a three part video series about the love between two boys who grew up together. This is huge. Rarely do queers get represented in this kind of light, as if people still tiptoe around the behaviors of gay children.

Check out some of his videos and get tickets for his show at the Ogden February 16.
