Awesome Autumn Adventures

Time flies when you are having fun and October seems to fly by in a blink. As much as I love hanging with the family at Thanksgiving, Black Friday shopping, and all of the holiday festivities in December, October is hands-down my favorite month of the year. The weather is perfect, crops are harvested, which means food is amazing, and it’s the time of year when my friends and family fun begins!

We’re so lucky to live in a part of the country that allows us to enjoy what each of the seasons uniquely provide, but autumn is the season I look forward to most each year: Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, haunted houses, football, and the fantastic fall colors.

The chilly nights are a subtle reminder that winter is just around the corner, which creates a “hurry-up attitude” of there is so much fun to be had and so little time to have it.

Here are a few fabulous fun fall festivities to add to your must-do list.

Haunted House

Touted as the largest and most frightful haunted adventure! The 13th Floor is just south of the Denver Coliseum at I-70 and Brighton Boulevard. Definitely one of the best haunted houses that is centrally located and easy to find. OUT FRONT did a review of 13th Floor – Check it out!

Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

For the young and young at heart, Anderson Farms is an autumn tradition for everyone. A fun farm and corn maze by day and a frightful corn field of terror by night. Anderson Farms is located in Erie and has so many things to see and do, it’s like going to Disneyland. You can’t do everything in just one visit.

There truly is something for everyone; from their farm animal petting zoo, and pumpkin patch, to their day or night corn maze and old west mercantile, Anderson Farms is hard to beat. And for you zombie apocalypse enthusiasts, jump on their tractor-drawn trailer, load your rapid-fire paint gun, because it’s time to hunt-down some zombies. You can even reserve a fireside campsite for you and your friends to enjoy.

We ventured up to Anderson Farms and had a great time. It’s an awesome autumn activity that is sure to delight every adventurous-type. Well worth the trip!.

Denver Beer Fest

Always a good time, but sometime a bit over-crowded. The eighth annual Denver Beer Fest, presented by VISIT DENVER in partnership with the Colorado Brewers Guild, takes place Sept. 30 – Oct. 8, 2016. Featuring dozens of beer related events at area breweries, restaurants, tap houses and attractions.
