Hands Across Contra Dance
Our new Hands Across contra series features gender-neutral calling, live music, and an evening of high-energy dancing! Calls are made using the terms “larks” and “ravens” rather than the traditional “gents” and “ladies,” and we encourage all dancers to choose whichever role or roles they prefer. Hands Across Contra Dance
Denver's newest contra dance series, Hands Across Contra, features inclusive gender-neutral contra dance. Contra is fun, high-energy dance to live music and calling. It's based on traditional American folk dancing, and is easily accessible to beginners. Contra is very beginner-friendly, and we love having new folks at our dances!
