With the majority of the world having an abundance of time on their hands, many musicians have resorted to crafting new music for their fans. Many adored classics are making comebacks, only to cement themselves further into our queer culture.
The Chicks Comeback
The Chicks are loved by fans due to their empowering and unapologetic music and attitude. Formally known as the Dixie Chicks, the trio has shed the big D due to the word being associated with Confederate states.
The Chicks have made headlines in the past due to their openly political stance against President Bush in the early 2000s. The band’s songs were banned from radio stations in 2003, and this just fueled The Chick’s badass attitude which later led to the crafting of Not Ready To Make Nice in 2006 as a middle finger to those who set them aside after the controversy.
Gaslighter is the name of their new record, an album that is fueled by passionate anger. The music videos accompanying songs from the record haven’t changed from their earlier work in the sense that they’re still cinematic masterpieces.
