LoHi Delays Aging with Laser Focus

When summertime rolls around, so do the beach-body workouts, fad diets, and all the other “get thin fast” tricks in the book. But like New Year’s Resolutions, how many of us have the discipline to stick with it?

“The way it’s been, especially in this country, is a roller coaster. Some fad diet comes out, and yeah, you might lose 30 pounds in two months, but the second you get off of it you gain all that weight back. That’s not sustainable — it’s ruining your metabolism,” says Nick Tvrdik, a technician at LoHi Lipo Laser Clinic, a facility changing the face of weight loss procedures in Denver.

At LoHi Lipo Laser Clinic, cold lasers are used to break down the fat in your body so that your system can metabolize it the way it naturally does. According to Tvrdik, cold lasers work differently on your body than hot lasers.

“It’s stimulating cells as opposed to damaging them,” he says.

Since cold laser procedures cause no damage to your cells, patients can go on with their daily lives as normal. The skin is not cut so patients don’t have to deal with stitches or the recovery time that typically comes with cosmetic surgeries.

But that’s not all LoHi Lipo Clinic does.

“We want to utilize the technology as a kickstart to living a healthier lifestyle,” Tvrdik says. The ultimate goal at LoHi is to get their patients on healthier diets and leading more active lifestyles supplementary to the laser procedures.

“The trickier part is getting [the fat] out of your body, and that’s what our whole programming is geared toward. But then [we] also take a look at what got you here and see what we need to do for the long term,” he says.

Patients are given detailed diet plans to help them cleanse their bodies and wean themselves off bad eating habits while going through the laser procedures. In addition, Tvrdik also helps them to find daily exercise activity to metabolize the fat the lasers are helping them burn. Even things as small as walking daily can help.

“Fat isn’t just this inconvenient thing that makes us look bad — it’s designed for periods of starvation,” Tvrdik says. Since people have food readily available to them at any time, he believes people need to teach their bodies not to store fat for food.

The clinic leaves no stone unturned in teaching patients the proper way to diet. In addition to lasers, the clinic also has several other spa options like infrared saunas, massage therapy, and a chiropractor to help patients get started on a healthier lifestyle.

“The human body is an amazingly resilient machine, until it’s not, and anything you can do to delay that process is a beautiful thing,” he says, adding that our metabolisms naturally slow with age. The first step in delaying that process is to start being mindful of your health now. LoHi can help, so stop in for a consultation.
