Gay Man Crowned Prom Queen by Connecticut High School

Danbury High School recently elected Nasir Fleming as their Senior Prom Queen. Though some worried that this may have been a joke at his expense (like from that one Glee episode when Kurt gets elected queen) it would seem that this was done largely in support of Fleming, who couldn’t be more excited.

Though there enough backlash against his ballot listing that the teen didn’t think he’d win, he also stated how well liked he is at school and how supportive his peers have been.
