Blessings in Oneness

Every day that passes by brings reminders of how immensely blessed I am.

The Universe continually rewards me for doing the work and for standing in the truth of who I came here to be; I will not be moved. Oh sure, I have my moments. Too often I get stuck in wondering why I am not the person I want to be rather than why I so seldom want to be the person who I truly am. So, the work continues.

But, for certain, the Universe recognizes who I truly am – even in my moments of weakness.

My beloved Lisa and I will be riding in a car, a float, if you will, in the Gay PrideFest parade this coming Sunday. As so much of my work is based in embracing the Oneness of us all, I am astounded that this opportunity presents itself; an opportunity to affirm that truth not only for myself, but to allow me to “walk-my-talk” as a model for others.

It is also a huge honor to be recognized by our GLBT brothers and sisters as two people who attempt to set an example of living life in unity, not in separation.

We have invited a small group of teenagers to rotate in and out of the seats in our “float”. I thought we might be helping to introduce these young people to the feeling of embracing everyone. I was mistaken. They already get it. Most of them leapt at the opportunity to join us and to celebrate diversity; it is a part of who they already are. So now I am simply thrilled to facilitate their time to express that to everyone at the parade. I am very proud of these young people and proud to be a part of their world.

So, we’ll see you at The Pride. We will be in some great big ugly convertible; the straight couple with all the crazy teens, celebrating how much alike we all truly are. Love, light and blessings – namaste’.
