Align with creative energy to get things done

This fall I begin teaching a class at Colorado Free University called “Ignite Your Intuition, Empower Your Intention.”

This past week I have been receiving new information to help me in the creation and expansion of this class. I am fascinated by the fact that as I move in the direction of polishing my content and Power Point presentation I seem to have opened the floodgates of my creative higher-Self.

My intention was to have this all completed by now, but it seems that the information I required was waiting for me to become focused on just this one project. I was trying to fit in time to create course with all the other pieces of my day. But, nothing happened. As long as I was “fitting it in” and not truly focused on it, I never really had any creative inspiration.

Now that I am literally coming down to the wire and am very focused on the requirement to be ready for the fall, information and inspiration are coming in from every direction. Working on this project is not so very different from any other intention. Focus and clarity are the parents of inspiration and creativity. Anytime I want to create a new experience in my life, it is the ability to focus my attention and be clear about my intention that activates that intuitive connection to Source. Then I seem to be creative, productive and successful in all my endeavors.

A few years ago there were some definitive studies done on the fallacy of the efficiency of multi-tasking. For a time it was thought that being a good multi-tasker was a very efficient way to get things done. Turns out, that was a lousy model from the get go. Truth is, it is only in the clarity of intention and the focus of attention that we get to the most efficient completion of the tasks at hand.

Do one thing right – do it very well – and only then move on to the next assignment.
