Same-sex Marriage Ban in North Carolina Struck Down

U.S. District Court Judge Max O. Cogburn found “the court determines that North Carolina’s laws prohibiting same-sex marriage are unconstitutional as a matter of law.” He reached this decision by using the recent 4th Circuit Court decision finding same-sex marriage bans unconstitutional.

As of today, all North Carolinian counties are issuing same-sex marriage licenses.
