Right-Wing Michele Fiore Announces Nevada Governor Candidacy

Michele Fiore

Republican Michele Fiore announced her candidacy to be Nevada’s next governor, her first campaign video boasting her “three-shot plan,” followed by a sequence of her shooting three beer bottles with a “socialism” brand label, individually labeled “vaccine mandates,” “critical race theory,” and “voter fraud.”

Fiore was the only state republican to support the state lifting their ban on same-gender marriage, though she has supported Trump openly and holds pro-militia, anti-immigrant views, among others, that cement her right-wing status.

“Washington Post called me a gun-totin’ calendar girl, and Politico Magazine said that I was the lady Trump, and I don’t care,” Fiore says in the campaign video, before adding that we don’t need the same old, boring, moderate compromise, blue-blazer politicians and pushing a small TV with a black-and-white NBC report of Mitt Romney playing (in the middle of the desert?), off an abruptly placed table.

She once co-owned a home healthcare business with her lesbian mother, but it was shut down in 2015 when she refused to let the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance inspect it.

She served in the Nevada Leadership Team for Ted Cruz and is a self-proclaimed fan of deceased talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, both with anti-LGBTQ platforms.

She sympathizes with far-right, anti-government militias, going on to found People’s Rights, a militarized social movement that The Los Angeles Times reports has, “whipped up paranoia and rage, risking lives of hospital workers, health officers, politicians, and others in the crosshairs.”

She also said in 2015 on her radio show that she is “OK with” shooting Syrian refugees.

“I am not OK with Syrian refugees,” Fiore said, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m not OK with terrorists. I’m OK with putting them down, blacking them out, just put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life. I’m good with that.”

Her racial comments are also worth noting: She’s said democrats and liberals are using race to divide America; she reportedly spoke against affirmative action, later announcing at the same conference that, “White lives matter; Hispanic lives matter; Asian lives matter; Black lives matter; all lives matter.”

She also supports efforts to audit Nevada’s 2020 election results, supporting the baseless claims of widespread voter fraud from Trump.
