Same-sex couples can be married in the state of Virginia as early as next week following a denial of the stay on the strike of the state’s same-sex marriage ban.
The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond denied the stay, meaning without intervention from the U.S. Supreme Court, same-sex couples will have marriage recognition by next Wednesday.
