DJ, photographer shut out by NOH8 campaign, launches ‘Say It Out Loud’ fundraiser

It’s time to take the duct tape off, says DJ Christopher Fish.

Denver entertainer Cora Vette for Say It Out Loud.

Fish and photographer Norman Dillon, who two years ago attempted to launch a NOH8 Denver not-for-profit campaign similar to the NOH8 campaign of California — but was shut down by that organization, have conceived a new concept: Say It Out Loud.

The campaign will be the polar opposite of NOH8 campaign.

The duo are hosting the first fundraiser to benefit the Horizon House from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at The Compound, 145 Broadway.

The cost is $20 per person and $25 per person in a group.

Here’s how it’s gonna work: each person will be given a sheet of white poster board that you may write anything you would like to say out loud.

“This is a great way to express yourself in a photograph while supporting a charity that provides care to persons living with AIDS and their families,” the duo said in a news release. “No hate speech allowed.”

One last warning: please arrive camera ready as there will be no makeup services. Photo-shoot open to everyone 21 and up with ID.
