November 25, 2014
U.S. District Judge Kristine Baker struck down Arkansas’s same-sex marriage ban today, ruling in favor of same-sex couples who challenged the 2004 amendment defining marriage between a man and a woman.
Judge Baker put her ruling on hold, and the state is expected to appeal to the 8th Circuit Court.
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has stated he will appeal, though he supports same-sex marriage personally.
