Manager: JR.’s has no plans to close

Last night I received a text message from a friend. “JR.’s is closing.”
I rolled my eyes. This was the third person in as many weeks to tell me. They’ve heard it everywhere. From a friend, to a waiter, a bartender.
I emailed manager Kevin Lewis. This is what he had to say:
When you’re on top, there is always someone trying to knock you off. Seriously, ask yourself, how many times over the years have you heard this before. It seems like this rumor is always out there floating around. Look, it’s no secret that the economy has been tough on everyone. Are we as busy as I’d like us to be? Some nights – No. Fortunately, thanks to our loyal customers, friendly staff, and exceptional talent, we continue to have a thriving business.
Make no mistake, we’ve been a mainstay of the Denver gay community for over a decade now. JRs has no plans to close.
This one’s for you Kevin.
