Laura Jane Grace, Tim Kasher, Anthony Green Announce ‘The Carousel Tour’

Carousel

Get ready for an array of incredible musicians and songs, as three powerhouse artists—Laura Jane Grace, Tim Kasher, and Anthony Green—have announced their spring batch of shows, “The Carousel Tour,” with special guests Mikey Erg, Home Is Where, and Oceanator on select dates.

Graces notes in a press release that “The Carousel Tour” will be “more collaborative” than your usual show. While each act has their own set time, they aren’t solo sets so-to-speak.

“We’ve challenged each other to blur the lines and join in on each other’s songs and to bring other players onto the stage with us each night,” Grace says. “We don’t want any show on the tour to feel routine or the same as the night before. We’re trying to lean into the unpredictability of these current times while manifesting inspiration and unhinged joy.”

Laura Jane Grace, founder of Against Me!, recently released her sophomore record, At War With The Silverfish, following her critically acclaimed solo album, Stay Alive. The new LP features Grace in a range of stripped-back, poignant modes that reflect an honest, holistic account of our collective, shared humanity.

Tim Kasher, of Cursive and The Good Life, recently announced his upcoming solo album, Middling Age, coming Friday, April 15, along with the lead single “I Don’t Think About You.” The new LP uplifts Kasher’s sense of empathy, humanity, and wit, along with a personal consideration around how it feels to be “middle-aged” and the anxiety that often comes with growing older. The record features old friends and collaborators, like Laura Jane Grace, Jeff Rosenstock, Jayson Gerycz (Cloud Nothings), Patrick Newbury and Megan Siebe of Cursive, andMacey Taylor (The Mystic Valley Band).

Doylestown, Pennsylvania singer and musician Anthony Green—lead singer of Circa Survive, Saosin, and The Sound of Animals Fighting—is also forging ahead with a solo career, with five full-length albums under his own name alongside his first collection of children’s music, with 2020’s EP Let’s Start a Band. He’s also planning to release a solo record in 2022.

Coloradans and Denverites can attend the tour with support from Oceanator on its very last day, May 31, at the Summit Music Hall. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m. local time.
