Laura Jane Grace and the 2022 Canadian Headline Tour

Canadian Headline Tour

Laura Jane Grace—musician and author—has just announced her Canadian Headline Tour for March of 2022.

The punk rocker will be touring with support from Lande Hekt and Mobina Galore and will be playing in cities such as Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and more.

Following her critically acclaimed album, Stay Alive, Grace’s new album, At War With the Silverfish was recorded in Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO, and was mixed by Marc Hudson, her bandmate from Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers.

These are songs of late night madness and loneliness, orphan songs that came wandering in looking to feed like insects,” says Grace, in discussing her new album. “I’ve learned that if you share your experience with good intentions that the universe will always surprise you with abundant return. Every song is an act of faith; you don’t necessarily know why you’re singing it other than you know you’ve got to sing it.”

The Canadian Headline Tour will begin in March of next year, but fear not, American fans. Grace will be touring this December along the East Coast. While her two Florida shows have already sold out, she’ll be playing at the following venues, and intends to add more shows before heading to Canada.

December 18 — St. Louis, MO — Off Broadway
December 27 — Reading, PA — Reverb
December 28 — Worcester, PA — The Palladium
December 29 — Washington, DC — 9:30 Club
December 30 — Sayreville, NJ — Starland Ballroom

Of course, with the pandemic being what it is, there’s always a chance that COVID and its ongoing variants could create a roadblock for Grace being able to perform live. In her discussion with Rolling Stone, Grace acknowledged that it’s hard to get too excited, when she knows it can all be cancelled before it even begins.

“It feels all so uncertain, so jarringly uncertain. And I really try to not get excited about things because I don’t want to be disappointed if they do get canceled, you know, and I’m just trying to like take it a day at a time.”

However, with vaccines and their boosters proving effective, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for Grace, the supporting artists, and the fans who can’t wait to see her play.
