FashionSeen: Upcoming Queer Youth Fashion Show

On April 21, YouthSeen is partnering with HAUS to host FashionSeen: a gender-affirming fashion show and workshop series for queer youth.

This event is described as an “immersive fashion show experience” that “guided youth through the process of upcycling, designing, sewing, dyeing, and styling clothes and is now concluding with a fashion show event for youth to model their work and stomp the runway!”

FashionSeen is all set to premier this coming Sunday and welcomes guests the chance to support trans youth and see the fabulous garments these young folks have been working on. The experience has offered genderqueer and trans youth more than a just platform for their fashion. Throughout the process, this ongoing effort has offered youth the space to hone their skills and create a garment that not only represents a growth in technique, but also their authentic selves.

In a world that caters to heteronormativity, offering spaces and experiences to queer folks, especially queer youth, can open the door to community connection, a sense of pride, and a stronger self image. And with these young folks’ final products about to be showcased, FashionSeen invites guests to see the powerful garments that have been fostered in inclusivity and community.

Date: Sunday, April 21 | Time: 3:00-5:00 p.m. *Doors Open @ 2:00 p.m.

Location: Rag+Bale, 1401 Zuni St Suite 106, Denver, CO 80204
