Envision:You and Pizzeria Locale Partner for Pride

Envision:You and Pizzeria Locale

On June 15, Envision:You and Pizzeria Locale joined forces in honor of Pride Month, serving hot and fresh pizzas to the community while raising funds for LGBTQ mental health.

The brand new pizzeria donated 33 percent of their profits to Envision:You, the only statewide organization focused solely on improving behavioral health outcomes among queer community members. “This June, we’re proud to collaborate with Envision:You to share specific mental health resources for the LGBTQ+ community,” Chris Donato, brand manager, shares. “Thank you to all the guests who ordered pizza on June 15 and helped raise over $5,000 for Envision:You.”

The restaurant bared its rainbow colors proudly with a special pizza box designed by Envision:You board member Quána Madison to accompany the fundraiser. The art, a Pride rainbow with Black and Brown stars, honored the essential political and cultural contributions of people of color in leading and advancing LGBTQ+ movements.

The boxes were artfully displayed around the pizzeria, complimented by a playful arrangement of balloons and Drag Queen Dixie Krystals who greeted customers in a fierce rainbow frock and a matching, perfectly coiffed wig.

“By partnering with companies like Pizzeria Locale, there is a bigger spotlight on the need for specific, affirming, and culturally relevant outreach, support, and behavioral health services,” Envision:You Steve Haden expressed, “The increased attention opens up vital conversations among friends and family members. It promotes an environment in which LGBTQ+ people feel seen and cared for. Change happens when we come together to learn, share stories, and take action.”
