Dixie’s Tupperware Party a night of naughty, bawdy fun

Dixie’s Tupperware Party is an outrageously fun evening of hilarious dynamite.

Dixie and her Tupperware

In short it’s a naughty, bawdy gut buster! Go and take all your friends. You can order drinks in the well stocked Galleria bar and then take them right in with you. The Galleria’s cabaret theatre is the perfect venue for this high-octane laugh fest.

Dixie is a hilariously lovable hostess who really knows how to throw a partay. Her glib motor mouth jocularity will have y’all in stitches. She’s got a table full of Tupperware that can do things you can’t even imagine. After all, Tupperware has been around for 60 years.

This magical commodity can keep your leftovers fresh and appetizing. That way, you’ll eat them the next day and avoid those unfortunate “science projects.” Dixie also has a couple of raffles that could furnish your cupboard with versatile bowls, cake containers and even can openers.

On the night I was in attendance, the sell-out crowd hooted and hollered for more over and over again. Each time they did, our hostess rose to the occasion injecting more improvisational tongue-and-cheek into the material and inspiring waves of raucous laughter.

Her anecdotes about the trailer she left to go on the road and the friends she made at the truck stops, are priceless.

You can buy her wares after the show as well. I barely had time to give her a great big hug after the show, before those in attendance began demanding her to sign them up for sets of her beloved tupperware. Everybody gets a name tag right at the get go so Dixie can call you by name when the moments of audience participation pop up.

If any of the show is scripted, you won’t notice. Dixie Longate is an insanely successful comic genius at improvising original material on the spot that makes the show feel as fresh and crisp as anything you preserve in Tupperware. Get over and see Dixie directly. After August 21, she will be gone with the wind. And frankly my dears, I DO give a damn.

Tell em’ David Marlowe sent you.

Not to be missed.

Dixie’s Tupperware Party takes place at the Garner Galleria through August 21.
