Envision:You, a Colorado organization dedicated to eliminating historical disparities in healthcare for LGBTQ Coloradans, has promoted Brad Barfield to the position of vice president. Barfield is Envision:You’s first vice president; he has served as a program manager for the organization since 2021. As the vice president of Envision:You, Barfield will oversee the organization’s administrative functions and strategic program initiatives.

Prior to his time at Envision You, Barfield was a manager of programs for the State of Colorado Office of eHealth Innovation, as well as a special projects manager at Every Child Pediatrics. Barfield received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in business administration in nonprofit management from George Washington University.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Brad to this new position within Envision:You. In his time as a program manager with us, he has proven his leadership ability, project management experience, and understanding of behavioral health issues impacting our queer community,” Envision:You CEO Steven Haden says. “His efforts to develop our inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility efforts and integrate them into all of our internal processes have taken Envision:You to a whole new level of delivering on our mission.”

Barfield dishes about the new role on his LinkedIn page: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President at Envision:You! As a queer multiracial person in recovery with my own history with mental illness, I feel so personally connected to this organization’s mission and am thrilled to step into this new leadership role. I’m sure I’ll be reaching out to many of you for guidance, support, and a kind ear!”

Recently, Barfield was involved in the creation of Envision You’s Q is for Questioning program, which was designed to help the families of LGBTQ youth who have recently come out find better ways to support them.
